Episode 2

Episode Summary

Were you an athlete once many moons ago, and always dreamed of what it was like to compete for a D1 school in college? Me too, and now I’m here hosting a podcast about the people who do. My name is Annika. I never had dreams of competing as a D1 athlete, but I’m here co-hosting a podcast which might be the next best thing. Hello folks, I’m Justin, and welcome to the Humans of the U podcast! And today we’re going to be chatting with Jude Norris, a former gymnast on the Men’s gymnastics team at the University of Minnesota about his journey. Let's get started!

About the Guest — Jude Norris

Jude was adopted from Hanoi, Vietnam at the age of 3 and settled in the small town of Carlisle, Iowa. Starting gymnastics at the early age of 4, he began competing by 7. Continuing his gymnastics career into college, he joined the Minnesota Men's Gymnastics team at the University of Minnesota. The team aimed to rebuild post-cut, motivating his choice to attend, pursuing a Marketing degree while aiding the program's resurgence. After a year, he retired to serve as the Gymnastics Team's Director of Operations.
