Environmental Accountability

Environmental Accountability Committee

The Environmental Accountability Committee seeks to further the interests of students pushing for ways to make our University better for the environment and our community for generations to come. Passionate students engage with other groups and the University to improve our personal and institutional accountability to the environment in the face of the climate crisis by implementing projects and campaigns that make our campus a better place. This can encapsulate a multitude of projects, ranging from retrofitting buildings to prevent bird collisions to protect biodiversity, increasing accessibility to organics recycling on and off campus, and getting the University to divest its endowment from the fossil fuel industry.

We also work to further environmental education in the University through increased access and incorporation of environmental justice in our courses, as well as promotional events that uplift student groups and organizations doing this incredible work with the environment. The possibilities are truly endless, and we hope to have you join us and help make our campus a better, greener place.
