About Government & Legislative Affairs
The Government & Legislative Affairs (GLA) Team works not only with the University and all its stakeholders but also with real government officials. From the local level, with legislators here in Minneapolis, to the state and federal level, the GLA team looks into all aspects of policy and policymaking to ensure that student voices are heard, represented, and protected within our legal systems. Within the University, they promote student engagement in government via amplifying student concerns, promoting active civic engagement, educating students about their rights, and more.
